Could it be that Big Red is making way for a new model by closing out some of the HTC inventory? The HTC Droid Incredible 2 and HTC Rhyme are on sale for the extremely low price of $0 by the carriers, until they run out of goods that is. Knowing the U.S. smartphone industry, there’s a 2-year contract to sign before getting one, not to mention the extreme cost of shipping, which is basically going to cost you as much as the unit itself and lastly, it is only available online.
One of these HTC models could be yours for free on contract from Verizon
You may not be so familiar with these handsets anymore, so here’s a quick recap to jog your memory.
The HTC Droid Incredible 2
The HTC Droid Incredible 2 is built with a single-core 16GHz Qualcomm, Snapp Dragon MSM8655 Processor. Stocked with an on board 768MB RAM and 8 Megapixel camera at the back and a LED flash to enhance your video capturing. Android 2.2 comes with the package and you can enjoy all this with a 4 inch Super LCD, WGA display with a pixel resolution up to 223ppi.
HTC Rhyme
On the other hand, the HTC Rhyme has the same processor as the HTC Droid Incredible 2, the Qualcomm single-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor and with 768MP of RAM a swell. It has 4GB of storage, but it can be increased up to 36GB if you use the microSD slot. They differ with the camera, which is only a 5MP AF camera, but it does have an LED flash and can capture video in 720p. So what is this HTC device that Verizon has been clearing the way for? The HTC Droid Incredible 4G was revealed in the internal system of Verizon, sporting the model number ADR6410. The device is LTE enabled and will be equipped with the Android 4.0. Under the hood, you will find a dual-core 1.2GHz, a gig of RAM, and the Sense 4.0. There will be an 8MP camera on the back. This may all sound so enticing, but it is the specifications are a bit lower than the HTC One X and the HTC EVO 4G LTE. So does the Taiwan manufacturer have a high-end model coming up for Verizon, I wonder?
